Qatar Charity exhibition stand titled Commitment That Drives Change at a humanitarian conference

Throughout 2025, Qatar Charity organized a range of international humanitarian events and participated in forums, summits, dialogues and meetings convened by international organizations and United Nations entities. 1. Participation in International Humanitarian Events: Summits and Forums

1.1 Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption Doha, 15-19 December 2025

Qatar Charity also participated in the eleventh session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, hosted in Doha with broad international participation. The delegation was led by Mohammed Ali Al-Ghamdi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Governance and Corporate Services. During the conference, Qatar Charity reaffirmed that combating corruption in humanitarian action is a strategic priority and underscored transparency and integrity as essential foundations for trust and sustainability.

Qatar Charity also organized a panel discussion on transparency and integrity in humanitarian action, held side meetings with international partners. It also hosted a dedicated pavilion showcasing its humanitarian and development achievements and its work in governance, transparency, integrity and compliance.

1.2 Global Refugee Forum Progress Review 2025 Geneva, December 2025

At the Global Refugee Forum Progress Review 2025 in Geneva, Qatar Charity pledged US$10 million to the Global Islamic Fund for Refugees, reinforcing its role in advancing sustainable solutions for displaced communities. The pledge was announced by Chief Executive Officer Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, who reaffirmed Qatar Charity’s commitment to supporting the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). UNHCR welcomed the partnership, and Qatar Charity also joined the Fund’s Steering Committee, where it will help guide support to refugees, internally displaced people and host communities.

1.3 Doha Forum 2025, Doha, 6-8 December 2025

Qatar Charity also participated in Doha Forum 2025 by attending side events, contributing to specialized discussions and meeting with international partners and humanitarian organizations. It also hosted an interactive exhibition booth showcasing its relief and sustainable development work. On the sidelines of the Forum, Qatar Charity also signed several cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding with United Nations agencies and international organizations.

1.4 Second World Summit for Social Development, Doha, 4-6 November 2025

Qatar Charity also participated in the Second World Summit for Social Development by organizing a high-level panel discussion, in partnership with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). It also hosted a dedicated booth highlighting its development initiatives. Also, the panel, titled “Building a Shared Vision for Humanitarian Accountability,” examined accountability in humanitarian action and the integration of development efforts into humanitarian response. Qatar Charity also presented success stories and reaffirmed its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.

In his opening remarks, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity, described humanitarian accountability as a collective responsibility amid escalating crises. He stressed the importance of listening to affected people and enabling them to become active partners in humanitarian action. He also noted that the Humanitarian Impact Forum, a joint initiative with OCHA, provides a platform for rethinking how success is measured through the depth of change in people’s lives.

Joyce Msuya, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, praised the partnership with Qatar Charity and said the organization had translated a culture of giving into tangible action. She emphasized that accountability must remain at the heart of humanitarian work and highlighted Qatar’s contribution to humanitarian diplomacy and global solidarity.

1.5 United Nations Day Event, Doha, 27 October 2025

Qatar Charity also participated in a United Nations Day celebration organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with United Nations organizations. Its photo exhibition highlighted joint projects with United Nations agencies, including maternal and child healthcare in Yemen, relief efforts in Somalia and support for Rohingya refugees.

1.6 Grand Bargain Annual Meeting Geneva, 8-9 October 2025

At the Grand Bargain Annual Meeting in Geneva, Qatar Charity also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships and advancing the localization of humanitarian action. It highlighted its practice of allocating 30 per cent of its spending to local civil society organizations and announced strategic cooperation with the CHS Alliance to strengthen localization and accountability.

1.7 Humanitarian Leadership Conference, Doha, 8-9 April 2025

Qatar Charity hosted a panel session during the Humanitarian Leadership Conference. Also, the conference was jointly organized by the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership at Deakin University, Australia. Titled “Humanitarian Coordination: Complementing vs. Competing Actions in the Field,” the session examined coordination among humanitarian actors, local empowerment and data sharing, drawing on lessons from crises such as Gaza.

2. International Humanitarian Events Organized by Qatar Charity

2.1 Launch of the Humanitarian Impact Forum Identity, Doha, 10 February 2025

In partnership with OCHA, Qatar Charity unveiled the identity of the Humanitarian Impact Forum 2025 at a ceremony attended by senior Qatari officials and representatives of international organizations. The event formally introduced an annual platform designed to address critical gaps in humanitarian coordination, foster innovation and advance sustainable solutions. The ceremony featured three panel discussions involving experts and officials from Qatar Charity, OCHA and other organizations.

2.2 Strategic Consultative Roundtable on Syria, Doha, 6 July 2025

Qatar Charity and OCHA convened a strategic consultative roundtable on enhancing humanitarian and development coordination in Syria. The meeting brought together representatives of United Nations agencies, international organizations, Syrian civil society organizations, implementing partners, donors and independent experts. Discussions addressed challenges and opportunities following the easing of certain restrictions on Syria.

The roundtable focused on developing a shared vision for humanitarian coordination, strengthening partnerships and identifying intervention priorities to ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable groups.
